You know the song "All I want for Christmas...is my TWO FRONT TEETH"? That will be Amanda's new theme song - but hopefully she'll get them before Christmas!
One tooth came out earlier this week. After walking around today looking like Nanny McPhee,
I convinced her to let me try to pull it. She wanted to tie a string to a doorknob and her tooth.... we tried that - no luck! How do you keep the string tied on to a slippery tooth???
Finally - success with good old wiggling and a kleenex. She's pretty happy now!
Natalie wanted her picture taken too - apparently she lost a tooth too - ahem.
Since Art is away (and has been since Wednesday), Amanda got to phone him to give him the momentous news!
"Dad, guess what! My tooth came out!"
So, for all of you that I told "Just remember Allison is the twin with the missing front tooth" - yeah, never mind. You'll just have to ask them who's who. Sorry.

Hooray Amanda!! Did you put it under your pillow, and did the Toothfairy give you anything? I don't know what she does with all those teeth...
Yes, she did put it under her pillow. The tooth fairy was handing out Rockets that night. And the teeth mysteriously reappear in Mom's jewellery box. Funny, our teeth used to do that too! Mom had a whole bag of them, I remember she finally threw them out a few years ago. I don't know why we keep them...
It's kind of creepy, actually. A bag of old teeth lying around in a jewellery box. At least they don't make it onto jewellery, that would be even creepier.
Some day Callum will lose his teeth (which he doesn't have yet), and we'll probably do the same things....
Tooth jewellery! YES! And we could give it back to them on their wedding day to go with their nice white dress! (as a joke, of course...)
I hope it's a joke....otherwise I might worry about you.
